The TrustComm Teleport and Network Operations Center is strategically located on the Ellington Joint Reserve Base, next to NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. The TrustComm Teleport and NOC facility is designed to deliver maximum security and reliability and implements several powerful fail-safe systems, not just for data transmissions, but for electrical power and other vital facility-specific operations. The facility is secured with perimeter barriers, video surveillance and 24 x 7 military police patrols. Independent network vulnerability and security policy analyses are conducted twice each year.
TrustComm’s NOC is staffed with professional engineers who manage customer communications 24 hours a day. Our team of dedicated experts consists of specialists in their respective fields of engineering, who have been cross-trained in multiple satellite communication disciplines in order to optimize network performance, as a result they often resolve/avoid problems before the customer is aware that any problem exists. Our engineering staff has customized numerous software programs in order to accurately track network systems and even weather resulting in significantly increased efficiency to ensure absolute up time all the time.
TrustComm’s core systems are redundant with an automated failover and load balancing that engineers can manually override. Multiple, redundant, diversely routed high-speed fiber connections and back-ups have been installed in the facility from several vendors and varied directions. Over 230 dark fibers support private optical networks. The facility also leverages redundant, diversely routed Tier-1 Internet access. Air conditioning units are redundant and provide backup for each other. Redundant, expandable and regenerated power is diversely routed from A and B feeds and is backed up by dual 150 kVA UPS systems and a diesel powered 750 kVA backup generator.
